Considering myself a gourmet, I find the flood of Dutch food quite outrageous. Most of the time when ordering an ale, you quickly find yourself looking at a glass or bottle of contaminated water. After having a closer look you'll most certainly find a writing saying "Heineken". Well, Heineken is something the Dutch, in their most misguided taste, consider an ale.

Another thing is the terrible waste of milk. Have you ever seen a taste- and odourless mass, roughly resembling cheese in a solid state of aggregation which isn't called Cheddar? Now the Dutch call it cheese. As already described it resembles cheese. Have the Dutch, in an age of globalisation, never seen real cheese? As if this wasn't enough, their provocation against the culinarily free world goes on. A member of the BF2S-forums calls his country "the land of cheese". Perhaps their cerebration has been severely distorted after the legalisation of cannabis?

Hereby, I call for the support of the best beer and cheese producing countries and their respective, by name Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic and Switzerland, in the crusade against Dutch "beer" and "cheese".

Meh, don't know about the beer (I think all beers/ales are horrible), but I do like the cheese.
But then again who am I to judge. Or you?

Heineken is cheap beer in holland. it's just horribly overpriced everywhere else. As for the cheese, I doubt you're getting REAL dutch cheese. Probably some cheapass factory made crap.

Yeah, Heineken is just your average cheap beer you get in Holland. When you got out to a crap bar, you get Heineken. I can't really understand why it is so expensive everywhere else, although I guess in America, they're desperate for a beer that isn't American.

Heineken is shit, people here drink it 'cause its an import (much like Corona).  I personally prefer Belgian beer over any others, but that is just my opinion.  Never had the cheese, maybe i'll try it sometime

i always thought people who pay $12-13 a twelve pack for imported beer had no taste in beer anyway.  They just buy it because they think price = quality.  Whatever, more Coor's Light for me.

Excellent choice good sir! Belgian beer is by far the most superior in the world. +1, for having taste.

Hmmm, this thread has put me in the mood for some Grolsch interspersed with a little smoked Gouda.

but Heineken IS shit!  Seriously, it tastes like it's been sitting warm in the sun for like a week.  There are other good Dutch beers, and if you like the skunky kind of taste of Heineken, there is always Grolsch-same type of flavor, much better beer.  And the dark is good too.
Unfortunately for your country (much like the US) you are associated with one type of beer, and it happens to be shit.  Here it is Budweiser, a horrible beer compared to many of the smaller-time breweries.  Personally, my American beer of choice is the good ol' Sam Adams, never a bad choice!

You forgot Belgium!!! Now I'm just gonna have to slap you silly... You can't list the best beer producing countries and leave out Belgium, you witless bag of incompetence :p Still, you realise Heineken is shit so you must have some knowledge of the subject.

About the cheese, I rather like ordinary Dutch cheese, it's almost the only cheese I eat, all those special types are wasted on me.

Won't be Flemish for much longer, as production is being moved from Hoegaarden to Jupille in Wallonia (where Jupiler is brewed). Corporate restructuring. That's what you get for having the largest brewing company in the world.

You did double check the others as being Dutch right? :p
