Change the extensions of the files to whatever the hell you want like porn.mpg.bob
The searchg engine won't find it when they search for *.mpg
When you want to "watch" the prons, take off the .bob
Hide it in an unsuspicious folder like was mentioned above...Windows/System32/Java/ or something

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

Heres what I used to do with pr0n, make sure file extensions are on and just take off the file extension and hide it deep within Program Files.

Best protection for files that nobody else on the planet should see: Get 7-Zip and create a password-protected 7z-archive, then rename the output file from blah.7z to something that looks important, like shell32.dll or whatever and move it into one of your system folders. Nobody will find a dll file suspicious.
