Congrats Trinidad. Shaka Hislop played his socks off.

Thankfully England looked pathetic against Paraguay so we can all stop worrying about them winning it or even reaching the semis.

Go Ivory Coast tonight!!!

Brilliant display by T&T.  Sverige fans may want to kill themselves, but they were given a great opportunity/situation and choked, Trinidad just had more heart and played out of their minds.  Bastards at the Port of Spain are probably just completely going nuts right now, partying in their little Caribbean island paradise, while it rains here where I am, but I'm not bitter or anything (kidding, but it would be sick to be there).

I'm looking forward to the IC/Argies game to (supporting Ivory Coast of course), but I might watch it on rebroadcast, 3PM on a Saturday afternoon isn't the greatest time and I'm heading out soon, luckily in America I don't have to work too hard to not get the result spoiled if I go that route.

It was depressing to keep being told that some of the Trinidad players were All-Americans at American NCAA colleges... and were still only good enough to play in minor pro leagues and lowly teams and such.

And "The Republic" where are they? Fucking nowhere thats where, at least "pathetic" England are in with shout. People who don't know what they on about tend to forget that Paraguay are actually a rather decent side (beating Brazil and Argentina in qualifying). They would certainly beat half the teams that aren't even at the World Cup.

Ireland are pathetic - agreed. Doesn't make England any less pathetic. Paraguay were awful. England beat Paraguay with a lucky own goal.

Also, in Ireland soccer is the third sport after Gaelic Football and Hurling, in England soccer is the number one game.

I have an Ignorant American Question:  When I watch the highlights and a few moment of the game, I hear the crowd and it appears to be some sort of song or chant.  What in the heck are they saying?  Obviously it wil be different for each team & country.  But I can't even make out what the Brits or Aussies or {other English speaking peoples} are saying.
