Congrats Trinidad. Shaka Hislop played his socks off.
Thankfully England looked pathetic against Paraguay so we can all stop worrying about them winning it or even reaching the semis.
I'm looking forward to the IC/Argies game to (supporting Ivory Coast of course), but I might watch it on rebroadcast, 3PM on a Saturday afternoon isn't the greatest time and I'm heading out soon, luckily in America I don't have to work too hard to not get the result spoiled if I go that route.CameronPoe wrote:

Go Ivory Coast tonight!!!
And "The Republic" where are they? Fucking nowhere thats where, at least "pathetic" England are in with shout. People who don't know what they on about tend to forget that Paraguay are actually a rather decent side (beating Brazil and Argentina in qualifying). They would certainly beat half the teams that aren't even at the World Cup.CameronPoe wrote:

Ireland are pathetic - agreed. Doesn't make England any less pathetic. Paraguay were awful. England beat Paraguay with a lucky own goal.coke wrote:

Usually players names or their national anthem.Kaosdad008 wrote:
I have an Ignorant American Question: When I watch the highlights and a few moment of the game, I hear the crowd and it appears to be some sort of song or chant. What in the heck are they saying? Obviously it wil be different for each team & country. But I can't even make out what the Brits or Aussies or {other English speaking peoples} are saying.
Its very hard, even for people that watch football a lot.Kaosdad008 wrote:
