Aren't you around 22 or 23? Is that the usual age over in Scotland?Camm wrote:

In related news, today I asked a mate to be a sperm donor on behalf of a lesbian couple who want a child. Their prospective donor whom my girlfriend had lined up for them about a year ago recently got into a relationship and his new girlfriend believes all children are evil. My mate has agreed at this stage. Funnily enough both their names are Andrew.
nothing? I dont understand what you are implyingWar Man wrote:

I'm 22 just now, will be 23 by the time I get married, and Jacqui will be 22. No plans for kids right now, Jacqui will still have 3 years of uni left when we get married, so at least 3 years before we entertain the idea.Pochsy wrote:

Whatever you do, don't have a kid first and hope the finances will work themselves out later. Jesus Christ do not.
EDIT- no, it's not: "The average age at which people marry for the first time has increased by around two years in the last 10 years, to 32.6 years for men and 30.9 years for women." - http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/press/ne … ished.html
This isn't a shot at your future plans necessarily. It is a shot at your plans if you are also considering a child. If the child happens unexpectedly, none of this matters. I only ask the average age because I was curious. It really doesn't speak to your own situation. The child thing, however, I stand by entirely.
We've been living together 2 years, and it's not too expensive, I'm not like Jay where I need to have a grandiose display of my other half's wealth to try and impress everyone.Macbeth wrote:
Getting married is so expensive and a pain in the ass to get out of when you are done. Why not just live together for at least 3 years before legally tying yourselves to each other?
Its only as expensive as you want it to be. Every wedding doesn't have to be the cookie cutter white wedding with everyone either person has ever met there.Macbeth wrote:

Spent last night incredibly uncomfortable, could not sleep, flatmates nicked all my sleepy time herba tea, wind, heat, massive headache. Made an excursion at 3:30am to the alleyway outside by building to kick the living shit out of a dented bourbon and cola can that and been rattling around in the wind making a Hell of a noise. Finally got to sleep at around 4:30am only to sleep through my alarm and be an hour late for work. Great start to the week.
gf's sister had around 70 people, did a lot of stuff themselves and it still cost $15kCamm wrote:
