i think that was his point - they are booking 100 hours but only getting paid for four days of work (I'm assuming that to be 4 - 8 hour days).  So 32 hours paid for 100 hours of work

I could be wrong!

They are at work for 4 days for 8 hours a day. 32 hours at work. They do enough work in that time frame though that they get paid as if they were there for a 100 hours.

Starting salary is 23-27 dollars for full time depending on your experience and certification. My old boss who runs the place showed me the time sheets of the workers employed and both of the team leaders (there are two teams) are making over a 100 hours a week. 200+ hours at $23 for having to be there a total of 8 days is?

Good money but make no mistake the job is hard and sucks in so many fucking ways.

They're falsifying the time sheets. They're charging hours to the car companies on recalls that were never done.
At small dealers it happens a lot. At large dealers no. They have a high volume that allows them to not be fraudulent. The Honda place I got an offer at is a large high volume place.

Wish I could be a pilot. Imagine the travel possibilities between flights. I'd like to fly an Airbus A330 or something like that.

If only I could be corrected to 20/20.

Hey asshole, try moving from one country to another where the highschool system is completely different. I'm only a few credits away from my US high school diploma, I have my Swiss one, and I have a year of computer science complete from a Swiss college. Fuck off, you have no idea how much of a pain in the ass it is going through school again.

If you have a high school diploma from Sweeden, and attended Sweedish college, why the fuck did you need to go into US high school?

Is it fun repeating?

Just go get a job with a future. You won't want to be a marine 20 years from now.

They also don't take someone with your physique.

You're wasting your life trying when you could be doing anything else, that has a future.

Yeah he does cuz it's guaranteed retirement after 20 years, lol.  Americans our age don't really have that guarantee anymore from what everybody's saying.

He needs to hit the gym 3x a week using big compound movements and eat a caloric surplus with increased protein intake, get some lasik surgery and get a US diploma to enter the marines, which he would likely not be a part of in ten years time, OR he could develop the current skills he has into something like IT/electronics and be in a senior position in ten years time with further prospects for career growth and development...

I'm saying the military is one of the few places where retirement is still guaranteed if you put in the full 20 years, not many other jobs have that kind of benefit.  Social security won't exist for my generation when we get old

That would suck pretty fucking bad for anybody that's currently in right now unless there's a cutoff point somewhere.

Apparently my friend (who was in since 2001) said the cutoff was 2005 since the military can't keep paying people to sit on their asses once they hit 40.

False. Do 20 years, receive honorable discharge, receive half of the active duty pay of your highest earned rank for the rest of your life.
