I don't have that either, but playing HL1 on the original goldsource engine is part of the charmglobefish23 wrote:
I'm only missing Half-Life 1: Source from the Valve Complete Pack, which you can't buy separately though.
So if anyone still has an unused gift pass laying around, feel free to be a hobo handing out chocolate supermarket parking lots.
I bought it for €30 and was well satisfied. Probably because I never bought the original L4D.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:
I bought it for $7 when it was last on sale and regretted it.mtb0minime wrote:
No matter how many times L4D2 goes on sale, I just cannot be arsed to buy it.
That was my reason for not buying the first one in the first place, it looked so much like an average source-mod with a premium price tag.. and it was/is...TimmmmaaaaH wrote:
Both L4D's are wholly average and I dont see how they get so much acclaim. Especially for a developer like Valve, they just do nothing new at all.

I did end up getting L4D2 yesterday. I've not had any interest in the game but a few of my steam friends have been egging me on to buy it. I can live with $5.
Not only is it slow, it also rarely shows the same servers per individual, meaning you will sometimes have a VERY hard time playing with your friends since they can't join you through steam because the server is apparently "not responding" or some other similar crapRTHKI wrote:
im surprised its on sale really

I tried a "listen dedicated-server", didn't work either...DUnlimited wrote:

I had that problem, try running the "verify integrity of game cache" in steam, it fixes alot of common problems with KFglobefish23 wrote:
I wanted to try the newly added weapons and skins in Killing Floor, but apparently I'm down to not getting any servers in the browser at all.
They only ones that work are the ones I added as favourites months ago.
Let's be honest here, the sequel should have been an expansion to the base game. Not a new game.Spidery_Yoda wrote:
For a few months L4D was unique and brilliant. Unfortunately Valve prematurely killed it off with the announcement of it's lackluster sequel, and the huge fundamental problems of it's lopsided VS mode were never addressed.
