Will Iran nuke Israel?

All the rhetoric I hear from the Iranian President seems to indicate that while he is portraying their nuclear development as peaceful, he is dead set on manufacturing weapons grade uranium. This coupled with the fact that Iran is also actively seeking/developing a multiple warhead delivery system (missle) and has said on repeated occassions that Israel "should be wiped from the face of the earth" and "Israel will be destroyed in a great firestorm" seems inicate their true intentions.

What do you think?

Doesn't anybody realize that bombing Iran is exactly what the president in Iran wants? It would unite the country, and his insane ass is in serious jeapordy of being over thrown. Patriotism is about the only card the mullahs can play, and without an outside aggressor there just is not a whole lot of patriotism in Iran.

Iran has historically had good relations with Israel, it was the nazi's that messed everything up...always the nazis!

sadly i disagree... there is no evidence of ANY letter going to the oval office, i sugest that nuclear reactors contain weapons grade "powder" . all you have to do is get the triggers and fuse it with a missle or bomb, "snaps" and you got a nuke... and thats why they have 30+ of these places... why would they need that many? .... with the poor country rates there you would only need 3 nuclear plants to power it all. do the math, no offence to you or anyones post... i speak of what i know is the truth, and what i think is right (=

True they're not stupid because of their nationality or religion, but they are religous fanatics who have expressed their desire to wipe out the Jewish state (Israel) even if it means their own annihilation. On the other hand Israel will almost certainly launch a preemptive strike if there is any hard evidence if Iran is bullding a nuke.

Irans president is trying to buy time to get enough uranium enriched to weapons grade before he starts getting really bolshy. Explain why Iran is spending so much on technology for nuclear power when it is sitting on top of the largest fossil fuel deposit on earth. I am struggling to see why you think Iran is going to not develop Nukes when they have purchased the technology to deliver them and they have no real need for nuclear power? Sure Iran may not nuke Israel but its overt hostility towards it, its refusal to cooperate with UN inspectors, its purchase of missile delivery technology all provide a very good reason to listen when Iran talks. In short they are going to develop Nukes to increase their barganing power within the international community. people are going to be more likely to concede points to a country with nukes and the leader who is just unhinged enough to potentially use them.

As much as Bush is portrayed as a warmongering idiot - can you really see the US deploying Nuclear Weapons on any country as a first strike?

Now read Ahmadinejad for Bush; Still get the same answer?

Actually jewish people was living in that area WAY BEFORE the Israel we known these days.

Its actually the Romans the renamed that area as Syria and Palestina, Because, yes even the romans tried to eliminate the jews at that time. Then its the Byzantine Empire that took over the place after the romans like 200 years after. From there Muslims been theres untill the Ottoman Empire took place around like 1500. From there well most of you that know WW1 and WW2 history knows the rest.

Some will say jewish was there first, some would say muslims was there first. That area of the world been fought for, for thousands of years and yet its not over.

Actually the historical fact is that the Jews were there first. The Muslim religion didn't start until around 500AD. The Jews had already been in the area we now know as Israel for around a thousand years by that time.
