So, Warp Records has now been the absolute paragon of electronic's finest for 20 years .To commemorate our 20th anniversary, we will release a deluxe special-edition of music and art, titled Warp20 (Box Set).
The package features new songs, older previously unreleased material from Warp artists, tracks selected as some of his personal favorites by co-founder Steve Beckett and the top ten pieces voted for by Warp fans on Warp20.net. It also includes a beautifully produced book showcasing the label’s rich design history, along with an exclusive hour-long mix and a locked-groove vinyl set.
The box set collection is easily one of the best historical collections of electronic music ever assembled, in my opinion. Avid electronica fans will be delighted to hear that the 'Unreleased' 2xCD collections contains some amazing tracks from the likes of Aphex Twin, Autechre, Plaid and Boards of Canada that never made the cut back in the hey-day. Yet, as well as being a celebratory anniversary collection, this boxed set remains hyper-contemporary and incredibly post-modern in its sensibilities. The algorhythmic IDM of the '90's doesn't seem at all alien in the even more electro-friendly 00's- and the classic nostalgic vibes of many of Warp's finest acts find a new niche and new atmosphere in this year of our Lord, 2009.
The boxed set is incredibly well-presented!
For those of you that want the full-details, here's a wall of text incooooming!

The track-listings of the CD's alone trace out a guide through the electronica canon, and I cannot emphatically recommend this boxed collection enough to anybody that fosters even a kindling and curious interest in this incredibly dense and inaccessible area of music. Get it, listen to it, admire the artwork and indulge in it. This is music for thinking to; music for tripping to - with or without drugs - and most importantly, music for dancing to!
