Yer right, but going out of my way to look like a criminal or a gangsta or that I have been in prison etc. is not one of my looks. It is a negative image and you damn well know it.

You speak of entertainment industry, well I speak of the real world and the masses of real people, not rap artists, producers etc. whose business it is to push this image.

So you take a car t the dealer to get it serviced, the dealer doesnt have a paper trail or they dont care if its illegal, unservicable. Besides the point! I made that analogy because you said you worked in the industry and couldn't buy one of those wretched nappy headed inbreaders you can't see at night unless they smile "saggers" actually being capable of functioning in a work environment, let alone thriving and making a career for himself anywhere in the industry. Because you have such vast experiance with the little you actually have.

Well then why did you have to buy something special for the interview if that is not your normal attire, and that is the only one society should have a problem with?

Sorry, no such things as after market parts and accessories in aviation. No you said you know people that dress like that at work. I am calling you out on that comment.

I asked what it is you did in the industry that has you knowing more about aircraft nad its systems than my profession. still waiting.

Because there is a time and place for every look.
An interview is the time and place for a suit
A pool or beach is the time and place for a swim suit
a circus or kids party is the time and place for a clown costume
Everything else is the time and place for casual wear, jeans t-shirts etc.
Prison happens to be the time and place for sagging.

IF you take the car to the DEALER they dont use after market parts there is a paper trail. The tolerance for a gm supplier is exaclty the same from boeing, and better then airbus was. I don't work IN the industry per' se, rather I handle work for a company that does not have an internal source for said work.

Loads (though with acting like fools you are bringing a new a rather subjective element in, so I'll ignore that). But then I know loads of people working in creative industries like advertising, publishing, TV and film making as well as in the music industry. Loads of them do and hold down well paid, fairly high powered jobs.

One guy I know always dresses like that, even at work - and he's a creative director on nearly £1000/hour. The argument that people who choose to dress one way are more of a drain on the economy is just silly. Maybe there is a trend towards those who dress that way earning less, but if you look at specific industries, you'll find loads of people like that. Obviously in many industries that sort of atire is inappropriate, but not in lots of others. Loads of the more junior guys at Apple Europe are "saggers".

By your logic everyone should be forced to wear suits because on average those who wear suits earn more (and are in turn less likely to be "undesireables").

No, by my logic, everyone should be respectful enough to wear fuckin pants OVER their underwear and not on the outside of them when in public.

Yes the saggers in the entertainment industry. Here is the thing, I am speaking of the sheeple that follow the entertainment industrys' bullshit trends. ya know the very few that are not music producers or hip hop artists.
I'd hardly consider advertising or software development as entertainment industries, but I get where you're coming from. The fact is these industries generate shedloads of income for a nations economy, so the whole economic stance on this issue goes nowhere.

The only argument against it is really, that you don't like it. That's not really enough....

In Germany, that may well be more prevalent. In Britain and France you'll see loads of "sagging", you get the odd few punks as well. I have no problem with any of it. It's their right to wear what they want. Just as it's my right to point and laugh if it is really ridiculous.

Obviously in certain situations it is inappropriate to dress like that. If someone showed up to a funeral like that, I doubt they'd get a very warm reception (except in some particular circumstances) and rightly so, because it's just a matter of being disrespectful - but as casual wear for in their own time in public, what's the issue.

No such thing as a non-licensed aircraft mechanic, or a non approved aircraft maintenance program or repair facility. People can work on their cars, add shit to them in their back yards with out govt. approval.

Ok so now we have established that you do not work around aircraft, but there is still that burning statement that I am JUST a mechanic and you have done more in my industry and are more responsible for the safety of aircraft than I could be with 3 life times as a mechanic.

so again I ask. What do you do for living? and how long have you done it?

I have never pulled any punches, starting with the OP, that I admit I have a problem with this shit, and that it is MY problem. I have stated I do not want govt. regulation against this practice, that I would rather the public in general, would police themselves and take a higher moral stance regarding their appearance. Now, the people on the streets in Atlanta, on the mass transit system, in the public schools, are not in the entertainment industry, or any spin off from it and will more than likely wind up in some form of social program. Would disagree with this?

As I have said, it's not limited to the entertainment industry. Just those that want to be "cool". It's a youth fashion.

Creative industries with a large proportion of young people in (unless they have a specific dress code) will have some staff who dress like this.

What's immoral about wearing loose fitting trousers anyway?

Actually my signature was on over $2,000,000 worth of contracts for the government in the last quarter of 08. It was on contracts signed in 02, that was for a program that never required 1 part to be delivered. The company ended up making a profit of close to 4 mil, and never delivered one part. It was on my advice that the company negotiated the contract in such a favorable way. But that is a drop in the bucket for this particular businuss, and has delivered hundreds of thousands of parts. Of which you have probably handled some that could be traced to me, If you were a little higher up in the industry.

Berster c'mon man, you know exactly what i am talking about, to play oblivious to this image and its effects is below you. It is more than just a fashion, it has become a lifestyle, a cultural identity and a negative one.

Wow you actually MADE something that is worth 2000000, well that is what 362 people that work for this company did for SOME of their income(the some being GOVERNMENT contracts WITH MY SIGNATURE on them for one slow quarter) So this entire company of 362 people can't possibly have a succesful "sagger" employed with them?

LOL, still waiting for a job title.

Actually, I take credit for installing a mod on helicopters that is credited with saving 3 helicopters and 6 lives ( so far). I am proud of that more than anything else.

Also, what I "make" is a safe airworthy aircraft. No dollar figure attached to my profession in the manner you are trying to pass along as more important. by successfully nailing down contracts.

Still calling you out on your statement that your sagger shows up to work and meets with customers with his pants below his as, and a grill in his mouth, wearing all of his bling etc...

Also I know now, you are lying about your co-worker. I refuse to believe he shows up to govt. meetings dressed as you describe

Still, what is your job title? Don't be shy

No, I am not referring to CMWS as far as the project I was referring.

He has never been to a govt meeting that I am aware of. Not saying he hasn't, just saying that I am aware of. However I have attended meetings with execs from Boeing where he wore a suit. But in the office, baggy jeans, over sized jerzey, big chain, the works is not uncommon. On occasion the grill comes out. He is from Atlanta too!!!!

As far as job title, shh. I will tell you that it truly has nothing to do with anything outside of normal business dealings. And I happen to do some work for an aerospace engineering company. I don't get the majority of my income from this source. I also receive zero compensation from the government pertaining to my work done on the matter (although I am compensated from the government at a lesser rate for other work completed).

Okay, you repair or retro aircraft. That means that you physically alter the aircraft in some way, shape, or form. How many aircraft do you sign of on daily? The last time I performed work for this company, it was to attend a meeting with 15 people that signed a contract for 10,000 items. A tiny clip to hold a wire. 3 per plane. Could i tell you where it went? No. I COULD tell you how much it cost though.

I sign off several a day, and what that means is I troubleshoot and repair aircraft then I sign for the aircraft and my work, deeming it airworthy. So please stop with the my dick is bigger than your dick rhetoric, especially after your remarks about how I am just a mechanic and the industry rest on yours shoulders bit. You know nothing about aircraft or thier function or what it takes to make them airworthy, above the bidding for contract aspect which has nothing to do with it. you are in sales

You know nothing about aircraft or their function or what it takes to make them airworthy, above the bidding for contract aspect which has nothing to do with it. you are in sales
Basically what I was saying. You were the one shouting your "experience". I DON'T have any expertise in aerospace engineering other than a personal fascination. I am NOT in sales! I fulfill a need for a company.  I have met execs from many aerospace companies, I have put my signature on contracts that cover thousands of aircraft, Including what was to be a lucrative contract for an aircraft you could only dream of working on(liter rally as of 2007) Said company DOES HAVE AN EMPLOYEE THAT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO WEAR HIS GOLD TEETHE ALONG WITH BAGGY JEANS AND AN OVER SIZED JERZEY CAP TO THE SIDE GOLD CHAIN BIG DIAMOND THE WORKS, AND HE ACTUALLY EXCELS AT IT!!!!!!!!!!
