Imageshack is the shittest media host on the planet. Tinypic, imgir and other are so much better.

If you want to start out as a webdeveloper, w3schools and Tizag are both good places to start, but otherwise, they aren't advanced enough for developers to come back to on a regular basis.

PHPManual I guess can be useful. Don't ever see myself translating text with google or using those web tools.

I jump from text-editor to IDE all the time. From Aptana to KomodoEdit, to Dreamweaver. Just don't see myself staying still because nothing ever pleases me enough to stay with it for a while. Although, right this moment I have designed my perfect work environment in Dreamweaver:

While I don't think that, I do prefer a regular text editor over Dreamweaver or other IDE's. I've tried DW, Aptana, Komodo etc and I just don't really like them. I use EditPlus 3. Short, simple, not overloaded with junk.

Also, I think people should learn to code from a regular text editor (at least HTML/CSS) before using a visual editor like DW.

Well I do a wide range of projects and in many cases its proven very useful. This bloat you speak of is relative to the project, like anything there are trade offs but I've not seen it perform horribly (yet). I try not to get emotional or create mantras over technologies

I'm sorry let me clarify. I did not mean to imply that you use TextMate, or  a theme literally named "TextMate" rather that theme you use looks very much like a theme you would see in TextMate. Lots of IDEs have variations on this theme.

My philosophy even if you work by your self its always smart to use a source control system ... 1 thing to back up, and you can revisit you different snapshots of your work.

I've just always found jQuery more useful for projects. If frameworks and libraries like YUI and jQuery could be cross compatible, I would be a really happy bunny. Sadly, they never are, so I tend to go for jQuery simply because of the mass support that is out there for it.

CraZeD, yeah, everyone has a very different opinion to Text Editors and IDEs. The ONLY reason I use Dreamweaver over KomodoEdit or SlickEdit is because of how easy it was to change the colour scheme to something I liked. KomodoEdit failed at detecting part HTML in a PHP file and CSS in an HTML file (which I found kinda pathetic) and SlickEdit had so many options I didn't know where to start. I would do anything to have the colour scheme options of Dreamweaver in a Windows Text Editor. Sadly, this isn't so. I never touch any of Dreamweavers utilities or tools. I only use it because I like my scheme.

Yeah, the code aspect of DW is pretty good. I stopped using it because I didn't like the way it tried to predict what I wanted to type. I'd always have to backspace and fix it because it autocompleted incorrectly. I'm sure there are ways to tweak that and such, but I can't be arsed to figure out how.

So, I just use my plain old boring text editor.

By the way, I envy your patience...hehe. I tried to do a similar theme for EditPlus once and gave up eventually. Too damn many colors!
