As of 10 February, Spotify is available to the public without the need for an invitation. Does anyone else use it?
The free version does put the occasional ad in between a song occasionally (well they do need to make a profit) but it's not that annoying.
It allows free, decent quality, low-bandwidth hogging music streaming. It has thousands of artists all available for anyone to listen to. I'm very impressed with it, and I recommend you check it out. Also, for all our last.fm users (join the trackr group if you haven't yet) it does scrobble what you play.Spotify is a new way to enjoy music. Simply download and install, before you know it you’ll be singing along to the genre, artist or song of your choice. With Spotify you are never far away from the song you want.
There are no restrictions in terms of what you can listen to or when. Forget about the hassle of waiting for files to download and fill up your hard drive before you get round to organising them. Spotify is instant, fun and simple.
