Doesn't count, it's only an expansion not a full game.
Thpbpbpbpb.
In terms of content, size and lifespan it's very much a "full" game.
People counted CoD: WAW as a new release even though it was a reskinned CoD4 didn't they? UO's sales figures were separate to CoD1... etc.
It's a completely different theme with entirely new singleplayer campaign, and you're comparing it to an XPack which only adds 10 lvls?
Wrath of the Lich King is an "entirely different theme" within the world of Warcraft's lore (just as you'd say CoD5 was different within the 'lore' of various wars- from modern to WWII) and has an entire new "single-player campaign" in the form of 1000's of new quests/'mission's and tons of new dungeons and raids- as I said in terms of actual content WotLK is probably bigger than Call of Duty 5. "Only adding 10 levels" just shows your extreme lack of understanding... raising the level cap is merely a means to advance characters to the point where they can
begin to play through the oodles of new stuff. Although, the actual process of getting from lvl70-80 probably constitutes as many hours of gameplay as CoD5 does in total, which is quite ironic considering level80 is just the
start of what this game has in terms of content to play through.
Also, to reply to your comment on The Sims: they are all counted together as one. Consequently, the Sims and Sims 2 are the two top highest selling PC games of all time... with World of Warcraft not very far behind.

Halo 3 sold 2.45 million in the first 24 hours.... big_smile
Woopty doo, that's an impressive feat for the army of valium-doped ADHD kids that enjoy playing Halo. However, bear in mind that Wrath of the Lich King
hasn't even launched in China yet. WoW-CHN is fucking huge, like unimaginably huge. You've seen those crazy Koreans playing Starcraft, now imagine that on an Asian scale. When WotLK launches in China it's just going to further put this game on the record-books, shattering everything. The floodgates will open to a continent where farming in-game Warcraft gold is a self-respecting marketplace. Crazy azns.
