But yeah, I'm still trying to get over the fact that none of my CS2 books apply anymore cuz they totally changed the interface with CS3
But I must say, CS3 brought many welcome features to Dreamweaver(Synchronization, FUCK YEAH!) so I'm hopin for more in CS4.
P.S. Anyone else feel that CS4 doesn't have the same "ring" to it as CS3...?

It's supposed to be performance enhancements. I had a tough time leaving the comfort of cs2 tbh. I quickly got over that..lol. I actually took one of Deke's courses long.. long ago.

CS2 is the way to go.

Is CS4 easier to use?
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
It looks like they added some cool features to speed up productivity. For example you can drag to resize your brush now.War Man wrote:

It's funny how Photoshop let down their Mac users. They were basically like bread and butter.
Content-aware scaling is pretty cool. I like the new tabbed interface also.

Not according to my review..lol. It may be a little harder.. but the enhancements pay dividends in return. I think we are always reluctant to switch to something that we are comfortable with. Try it for a couple weeks. I'm betting once you get used to the relocation you will like it. The dodge and burn tools are much better. I like the save screen as well..Zimmer wrote:

they never really seem to dramatically change anything different other than change the interface and version name ever since version 7.
It's been too successful for them to dramatically change it. But there are a bunch of new feature beyond the interface. Click and drag brush resizing.. click and drag adjustments, it's faster.. tabs! (I'm just going to add a couple cool things in every reply)

Yes I did.. I will only need to get the upgrade. The first and most obvious is the improved interface. It's nothing spectacular on it's own but it will help with my productivity. The program itself performs faster. When searching for an image file I noticed I didn't have that typical lag that I had with CS3 (on the same exact system). Photomerge is drastically improved also, that will help me a lot when shooting landscapes. I do that a lot in my line of work. There are a lot of little improvements, some of which I have mentioned recently. Rather than type them out see here. Enough to push me over the edge of buying.. it will of course be a tax write off anyways . If you use photoshop for the casual sig design or logo then I'd say it's not worth it. I use it almost everyday for work though..Sup wrote:

never used CS3 instead of PS7, never really had a use for it (just me personally). don't think i'll use CS4 either.
