But you don't know what he had before he went all in. You didn't know he only had 3 outs. What if he'd've had trips?
You can not base your decision on his cards, only your cards.
omg just go away. he was fucking shortstacked. you think im gonna fold top 2 on the fucking flop when it's just me and him in the hand?
...
Hey, I'm not criticising. I've done exactly the same in what sounds like exactly the same kind of situation.
And as I said, it depends on the context of the game - which of course I don't fully know - you probably did the right thing in that context, but not the right thing in every context - and that's the silly mistake people make, assuming they can't be beat.
I do sympathise.
Poker is about making right decisions. he made the right decision. you don't assume you can't be beat, but when you flop top 2 pair, there is no reason to fold! he got lucky, he only had 15% chance of hitting going into the turn and a 25% chance going into the river. You can't win every hand in poker, but you can win more than you lose, and that is how you make a profit.
And when you base decisions on other peoples cards, you obviously can't see them physically, but you can make very accurate assumptions from their actions, and irl, bodily tells.
I'm not sure where your argument was going, but i don't think you know enough about poker to be arguing about how ig played that hand.
ig: partypoker, i can't play full tilt or pokerstars because i'm not 18 and its too hard to get my money on. Partypoker just lets me wire it through my bank account, and i lie about my age lol.
