So yeah, I managed to "acquire" R6 VEGAS 2 and play it.
First Thoughts
- Looks a lot like Vegas 1
- Improved graphics
- Smoother
- More of the samey tactical awesomeness Vegas 1 gave us
- Armor
- Equipment
- Weapons
- Clothing
- Marksman - Headshots for this one - Unlocks more accurate assault and sniper rifles.
- Assault - Explosives and the sort - Unlocks more powerful Rifles and Automatic rifles and machine guns.
- CBQ - Close range kills, back kills and blinding kills - Unlocks new shotguns and sub machine guns.
Starts to sound cool. Just like BF2, although this actually requires some skill - Killing a guy normally ( chest shot ) will get you nothing but
XP.
XP Points
Ubisoft have been smart on this and decided that XP points only get you certain unlocks. There are several Army ranks up to the rank "Elite". When you rank up, you either get new clothing ( which does nothing in terms of gameplay ) or new Armor which really does change the gameplay.Armor gets you new vests, arm and leg protection, which can come in very handy at times.
We have another new thing, which was hugely lacking in Vegas 1....SPRINTING!!!!!!!!!
Now, any fan of Vegas will agree with me that this was desperately needed in 1. Don't worry fans, it's here and it works beautifully.
You may ask how this is connected with armor?
Well, it's simple, the more armor you put on, the less manouvrability you have - i.e less sprinting.
These 2 factors can be the key to you living or dying through and Act. Choose wisely, never under estimate your surroundings.
So far so good, I like the additions and want to seriously ace these challenges so I can grab the best weapons for the job.
