Tournament registration begins Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 3 pm PT. Check back then to sign up!

In WAR OF THE TITANS, sixteen 20-player teams will have the chance to compete for the top prize and bragging rights as the best Battlefield 2142 team on GameSpot. Every match will pit two teams against each other and the mission is simple: Destroy your enemy's Titan and fend for your Titan's survival. Only one team will advance to the next round, so who will defeat and detonate the Titan first?

And as always, we'll broadcast the Finals live on GameSpot Tournament TV! You'll get to see your favorite GameSpot editors and special guests provide commentary on the battle, as well as interviews with some of the top players.

Only the winning team will walk home with the $1,000 prize package!

1st Place - Each member of the 1st place team will receive a gift certificate from Best Buy worth $50.

2nd Place - Each member of the 2nd place team will receive a three month free extension on their Total Access account membership

3rd Place - Each member of the 3rd place team will receive a one month free extension on their Total Access account membership.

Don't know if you get to pick your own team or not, but it sounds fun. Anyone interested?

this thread didnt get owned. the option is still open to anyone in the us or canada and who is willing to spend 3 bucks for a gamespot total access account. so, it is still possible for people from these forums to make a team, even though some can not.

you form your own teams just to tell you. and you pretty much go live on Gamespot Tournament TV where us viewers can connect to gamespot and view the game live feed or just watch later. Its a really nice feature... they should have an Asia Pacific version so us people located in Asia can compete
