- What is the difference between a LAV-25 and a amtrack?
LAV is a light armor apc transport and an amtrack is a passenger train.
I may be wrong about this, but the LAV is an armored troop transport used mostly for land but can go into teh water, and the amtrack is used for beach assualts and landings more than a primary troop transport.
