The level of play is way lower on ranked servers and i dislike the typical ranked player. Badges, ranks and leaderboards lead to some behaviour of players i don't want anything to do with.Shadow_OwNz wrote:

One more reason is that competitve 2142 gaming won't be on ranked servers.

My goal is to be able to laugh at all the future 2142 players, and tell them that I was a beta tester, far before 'their time'. Then I'll carry on playing CS:S/UT2007/etc.

Also seeing that the ranks are very close together so you can actually get some, instead of waiting till you get to 50k points to get all your unlocks and your badges help you get career points
