Stupid people. Just because it has an eccentric orbit and the orbit is inclined wrt the other planets.
What is next? Venus for rotating in the opposite direction wrt to the other planets. (Sun comes up is the west on Venus)?

The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme. And 'to big to fail' is code speak for 'niahnahniahniahnah 99 percenters'
This is about Pluto, not cows. Get back on subject or start a cow thread.
cool, thanks for the info. +1!
Let's bow our head and pay our last respect for Pluto as our former planet. Oh hell, it still tag along with our solar system! It is all about guideline to qualify being a planet. I guess NASA was so boring and decide do something fun. PLUTO is not a planet based on our new guideline. Who cares, either Pluto is a planet or not. It's still there!

the poor aliens on Pluto not being on a planet
Pluto is still actually a planet, its just been de-moted to a 'Dwarf' planet
Yeah, I know schoolkids everywhere are upset but by the old definition they would have had to include a whole ass-bucket of other objects, then we would have had over 100 planets. No biggie, if you want to see Pluto, go to Disneyland.
Congratulations, you have been de-moted to 'Dwarf'.
Congratulations, you have been awarded the 'Dwarf Ribbon'.

There are a few 'verticaly challenged' planets that are classed as dwarf planets, i forgot which ones though. I know one of the has 2003 in it though.
Dwarf planet = Planetoid -> not actual planet. The name might relate to the orbiting rock having a moon, but not being big enough, or having a "decent" orbit pattern or time.
Anyway, I personally think it sucks. Kinda feels like in 50 years Earth would be announced to be flat.

I need around tree fiddy.
In other news, Ceres and Chiron actually got promoted to dwarf planets as well.
Pluto will avenge this by slamming into Neptune.. give it a few millenia.. it WILL happen.
Thats the ones i forgot.Marconius wrote:
