i have a program called Freedom it is a Sympatico anti-virus.... Not bad Notbad

I don't have anti-virus programs and I don't have any Service Pack. Since I have a plain WinXP Pro everything is so much faster [especially booting and shutting down] and more stable. And I never ever had a problem with viruses or spyware or things like that yet.
When computer get a warning sign of a virus, I bring out every scan I got and whole computer goes to Defcon 3
I fix my comp when it breaks, other than that, I really don't care, its a pile of crap anyway.
It scans him self i dont need to rund scan.

Only time I've ever got viruses has been when I've known a file might be a virus and have just hoped it won't be, downloaded exe's that I've decided have been falsely reported as viruses, as many of them are.
Only way i could protect my comp is to ask someone to hide it.
I have a few virusus i think,comp shuts down every 3-6 days.
I tried to defeag once but it took to long so i gave up and cancelled.

I run Adaware and Spybot S&D a couple times a month (both are free by the way). I like the preemptive immunization from spybot and also I run it's teatimer app that prompts me anytime something tries to change the registry.
Jord, you really need to let the defrag finish one of these days, it really does make a difference when your game files are not scattered all across your drive. Hell, anytime I install a game I defrag before AND after (probably overkill but it only takes about 4 minutes to run so what the hell...)

But it take over 12 hours.
And by then if i start is when i get up [about 1 Am] then i have to turn it of when i go to bed [about 1 PM].

I run an antivirus (avast) with a realtime scanner and firewall, have my xp firewall on, and then my router also has a firewall lol. If anything can get through that ill be impressed.
