BF2S Forums U.S. Army recruitment?

I don't know about the "live here if you join army" deal , but i heard about lack of equipment.

60 minutes talked about it a year ago.
Humvees were not bullet prooff and were missing doors so the army could save money.
They talked about it because if they were bulletproof they could have saved lots of American lives.

Anyway , i would love to give it a try in the American army if this is true

Yeah I knew about the equipment "shortage" they had, but the reason it makes me wonder wtf, is because as big of a topic as "national security" is, I would think this would REALLY blow hopes of keeping our nation secure out of the water.  I mean, what do I care if a bunch if Iranian people want to join our army, go back to Iran, and train their soldiers to fight us?  I mean shit, we arent the French Foreign Legion which France has.  True it would be a minimum of 4 years before they could go back, but 9/11 wasnt thought of and implimented in a year.

Ive also read about the U.S. government allowing a certain number of Iraqis to join the U.S. Military Acadamies, and after certain specifications are met they will be allowed in, and only a certain number can be allowed or something like that.
