- How do I save my AF download before I reformat a drive?
What's wrong with the HDD?
Search.
Take a look into the cache folder of your EA Downloader - you'll find all files there.
And to all "Search!"-Retards - grab your dictionary and search for help.

u dont need to
just install it again from ea downloader
just install it again from ea downloader
I guess the files will be erased if the drives's formatted - just my 2 cents...rootbeer73 wrote:

Yes, you can just "backup" your EA Downloader directory. It's all in there. Just be sure you also aren't copying crap you may not want along with it.fierce wrote:

Thanks all. I got a nasty virus downloading porn, and I could barely play bf2, but I copied my downloader folder and it had all my stuff in it. Usually, I only ask questions on a forum if I cant find the answer after searching, but inevitably, the first thing someone posts is "do a search". Gee, really? I want a quick answer, not hours of searching when my computer reboots every 30 seconds, because of the virus. Again, thanks everyone!

I went on EA downloader with another computer and everything was still there ready to be installed for me so you shouldnt have to do anything
Originally when EA downloader came out you had to request a new download every time you wanted to reinstall. Then through updates to the downloader it now recognizes if the files are installed or not. Just make sure you use the same EA/Punkbuster name, not necessarily your in-game name.
Just redownload the EA Downloader and it'll let you redownload and install the addon. Assuming you use the same login. Had no problem doing it that way after I built my new computer.
Ummm scan that folder before you do anything with. Probably not infected, but you never know. Use a free virus scanner like safety.live.com.

Yup, you can download and reinstall the boosters as many times as you want.
Don't look at porn, and if are going to, beef up the firewall.
