They 3rd fucking day i get my AK47 airsoft gun, my friend cracked the part that holds the butt on the gun, now it wobbles on it. I am so pissed off at him. Does anyone know the best way to mend plastic (without melting). Super glue doesn't do much i tried.
What kind of plastic is it?
I have used superglue to mend completely broken plastic that is under daily stress and it's lasted at least a year before the bond broke. You just need to physically hold the bond in place for a few minutes and then coat the outside of the crack with another layer making sure not to bond it to any other moving parts. If that doesn't work then try a different brand of superglue. And don't expect to be able to dive onto your gun without it breaking the bond.

epoxy should work nicely. The nice strong shtuff that comes in two seperate tubes and bonds via chemical reaction
Once cured, shoot said friend.

Try plastic cement. You should be able to find it at any crafts store that sells plastic models. Just apply and then clamp the pieces together for about 20 seconds let it sit for an hour or two and it should be as good as new.

you have to really really clean the crack before supergluing, too, I'd also reinforce it with some tape since vibration/shock can open the split again, and finally, take the gun and shove it down the back of your friends pants and empty a clip
edit: the most important part of the superglue process is curing time

There's nothing it can't fix
EDIT: Or glassfibre (dunno if thats the correct name, and if it even works with plastic)

JB WELD.
Black Goo + Grey Goo = Insta-plastic weld
the down side is, it needs 24 hours to cure.

lol duck tape will make it look all redneckish
well, I think we can all agree that regardless of how the gun is repaired, the friend is receiving the first test fire shots in his ass. Way to bring together the community, Superior Mind.

JB WELD makes a nice epoxy. This should do you well....be careful not to get both chemicals on your fingers, they might end up as part of the gun.PuckMercury wrote:
