Australia is the majority a bunch of retards that like Cricket, Rugby and AFL. All of which are dieing. Face it, soccer rules, its overtaking the world. Its becoming increasingly popular in Australia and in the USA. Its already by far the most dominant sport in Europe, Africa, South America, i'm not sure about Asia. So you can see soccer is the best and AFL is going no where.dhoar4 wrote:
Soccer is for girls...World Cup WAS fine to watch, but ever since the-incident-Australians-don't-talk-about happened, I decided to never watch the shit again...Sgt_Bob05 wrote:

By far, AFL is Australia's most watched sport (Other than State of Origin...GO THE BLUES), but Basketball is fantastic
I didn't see "Sport Fucking" on the list but that would get my vote!
chess is an official sport, dart, billard and poker are 24/7 running on eurosports -> sports1927 wrote:
Iron - I class those as sports where as perhaps 5/10 years ago they were hobbies, that goes to show how they have developed. Chess perhaps still a hobby?
so what about bowling?
Forgive me on the chess one, Bowlings a sport, wether that is 10 pin, Old Age Person bowling (they play it, you dont use an old person as the ball, however I wont report you if you did) or Dwarf Bowling (you use dwarfs in this version not balls).
I'm sure I speak for the rednecks when I ask "Where's NASCAR?" lol.. or racing as a general category?
I don't watch NASCAR on TV that much.. baseball is my fav.

Cameron - I wont make a joke out of hurling and say I do that most Saturday nights in town because Its one of the hardest sports Ive seen. Lacross is another not to be joked at as your allowed to hit ya opponent with your stick to get the ball. Myself I play Hockey, not the padded kind and we hit each other with sticks when no ones looking in that game too.
Yeah hurling is particularly vicious too - the referee can't keep an eye on everyone all the time and you get players dragging the butt of their hurl up along their opponents ribs off the ball and all sorts of shit happening. It's often degenerates into a violent free-for-all.1927 wrote:

Let me begin the soccer flame. Where's the excitement in fubol? 1 goal over 90 minutes is exciting?? Where's the contact? They worry about someone kicking them in the shins so they can pretend to be hurt and get carryied off on a stretcher, only to bounce up and go back in the game? Too much crying and faking in the game for me. I'll stick with contact sports where you can use your hands...(i.e. football). Much respect to rugby. Basically football without the pads. There's a real man's game.
Lacrosse (with an "e" at the end), Football (american) and Hockey... I like my sports violent. Saw Irish Hurling once, looked cool.
Basketball
football when theres a decent game on
cricket
rugby

I watch Tennis mostly, and I'm surprised Racing isn't one of the choices. Anytime a Rally Cross event is on, I'll always watch that.

I'd probably go with rugby - all out brutal fast paced action. But the world in general go with Football (the real kind not American, which has too much stoping and starting for my liking) more people watch the World Cup than any other sporting event.
Football (real football) can be great to watch - but all too often it's slow and dull.
I like watching cricket highlights too, but a whole game tends to be a bit long for me (unless it's 20/20, or the Ashes).

Sorry for not knowing this, is ESPN big in europe? They're currently showing a US vs World tournament at one of the casinos here in the states for Darts. We're getting completely stomped. I think it's been 5-1 euros so far in the tourny. Are all the top pros in darts from europe?
