Man, that's really old. I loved to play Commander Keen, Dune, Red Alert, Wolfenstein 3D, Quake (1 or 2, I don't remember)...
Zuper Zweet... but moved to not BF2...

Quake (the original) is sweet. So is Red Alert... RA1 is much better than RA2.Dr_3V|L wrote:

My favourite classic game was Outlaws. I'm thinking of getting a copy again. Compatibility mode time ....
Best. Western. Game. Ever.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Red Alert, Ceasar 3, Pharaoh, Rollercoaster Tycoon.....this is my first FPS I have ever owned

Age of Empires: Age of the Kings if thats classic. Its still one of my favourite games because the music is so damn relaxing.
I loved doom and command and conquer (the original). But before that on the amiga 500 there were:
Cannon Fodder (one of the greatest games ever imho)
street fighter (though it was far superior in the arcade)
and various other ones I can't remember the name of.
Not on the PC now but the game "circuit breakers" on the ps1 is the most fun multiplayer game I have ever played. You get 4 people in a room playing that and you can be there all day. Also doubles as a good drinking game.

Giana Sisters
Monkey Island (1+2), Zak McKracken, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max (the age of great adventure games)
Ghostbusters in C64 was cool too. Perhaps the longest loading game at that time. You can play it (and many other C64 titles here. Unfortunality Ghostbusters's controlls don't work correct for me.
On Nintendo Systems I liked the Zelda titles and Metroid was time consuming too.

that's easy: MARIO BROS!!!1
I used to play the shit out of AoE II. Online is a bitch though because you have to go through that MS Gaming Zone site. AoM is awesome online but it lost a lot of it's players about a year ago.Ryker wrote:

- 12 disk change on monkey island 2 .. killed it.
Buggy Boy, International Karate+ , Puzzle bobble/ Bubble bobble/ Rainbow Island - Leisure Suit Larry, Conquest of Camelot - all 1988-1998 sierra , lucasarts were the best. All the original click n point games.
Syndicate was the pinnacle of gaming back then . Street racer .. YOU HAD A GARAGE AND COULD CHANGE PARTS - INSANITY.
STREET FIGHTER 2 - Need i say more. ( final fight was sick too )
When ninja turtles came out people would rob their grandmothers to play it.. 4 players was insane. then konami brought out that crap ripp off that i bought thinking it was the arcade and all my friends laughed.
Such a mad thread dude +1
word. You ever play X-Men Arcade? If I remember right you could play the game over again after you beat it if you had credits left.OneSixty wrote:

Captain Comic, damn that was a while ago.

Betrayal at Krondor

The first RPG and what got me hoocked on games, read the entire series of books too.
But my all time favourite game was Baldurs Gate.

It had so much to it. So many different things to do and so balanced. BG II was also good but a step below BG.
