I went through some financial trouble tonight when my bank statement updated and I found 3 unauthorized transactions pending on my account putting me in the hole about $340. Anyone else around here feel my pain?
Yeah babe! Someone got hold of Kaosmom's numbers - WHAMMO! $780 and she owns a pr0n site? In Taiwan?
Notify the Bank ASAP. Have them investigate. If you have a Bank card, Cancel it right away.
Yep. I was buying a CD online and apparently their site wasn't secure. Someone got a hold of my numbers and bought like $600 worth of stuff on amazon.com.
MBNA is awesome though...they refunded my money and caught the guy who did it. It was some 17 year old kid from Nevada I think.

I had an employee steal $8,500.00 in cash and checks over the summer.
So, where's the body?Alexanderthegrape wrote:

Or do you still have it chained up in the basement?
we're experimenting on it. for ninja purposes.

Just a few months ago I had a collection agency taking money from my account illegally - about $1200.00 and I'm still trying to get that back. I feel your pain Kimmy. Sucks!
We're still tracing all the damage.
It's funny, I caught and fired her and she still used me for a reference.
Stupid.
Sadly, the cops aren't going to do much.
$6,000.00 was cash from our safe.
Erge to kill, fer sure.

She stole cheques? What did she do with them?Alexanderthegrape wrote:

She would prepare payroll checks and I would get handed a stack to sign. She was slipping in a extra check here and there and it took us about two months to catch it. She was destroying the check vouchers. It wasn't shocking amounts, $380.00 here, $480.00 there. She was buying shit online and paying with check by phone.
I've always been of the opinion that when somebody comes to work for you, trust must be automatic. You are entrusting them with a task, and/or representing you. You also never forgive a theft.

Had my credit card skimmed a couple of years ago and they ran it up to $17,000. My Bank ate it all though which was good...since I wasn't living in Spain (where all the transactions were) at the time.
When did bondage mean ninja? but seriously. I can't fathom having 300+ bucks stolen from me, my most devastating financial loss was in the third grade, I left my wallet containing 24 bucks in the lunch room.spawnofthemist wrote:

Bank of America fucked my Dad over... someone frauded his identity and spent like 4000 dollars under his name... my dad called BoA and they never did anything... fucking stupid BoA.
Contact your card provider and your bank. I know Visa and MasterCard work with your bank to restore fraudulent transactions.

sry Kimmy, that sux big time.
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
my worst loss was when I bought an airline ticket to go home for the weekend off of cheaptickets.com and i showed up at the austin airport and they didnt have my ticket. I ended up buying another one just because I was there already and I hadnt gone home in two years. $450 for the original one and $500 for the "real" one. and it was just payday and i went into overdraft, stupid, yes I know.
and I just recently found out that my social security card was stolen by one of my "homies" a few years back. he got deported shortly thereafter but i still dont know...oh wait I got an even worse one but I dont think ill share that one.

ExecutionerStyle, my account IS with Bank of America, and they couldn't do shit I managed to call and have the stuff cancelled and refunded. I'm hoping the refund posts to my account soon enough so that I don't get overdraft fees. Hell, I don't get a paycheck until the 1st, so now I'll just have to wait and see if I made enough to get my account out of the red *crosses fingers*
redirect your account thru the Cayman Islands then re-route the account encryption thru Monte Carlo
sorry, finished watching 'Swordfish'

Report the card as stolen not lost, retro to the day before the fraud happened.
Don't report fraud, report theft.
Don't report fraud, report theft.
if anybody knows anything about ID theft, PM please, I got a serious question that i dont think would be appropriate to advertise. thanks if so, if not fuck off...jk
Another person lost to the fucks at BoA. If possible, switch to a bank that actually gives two shits about its customers like Citi or Wachovia.KtotheIMMY wrote:

Hmm, come to think of it, BoA could be considered the EA of banking.
Whew, everything looks okay now... my account is positive again and apparently last night my Dad made a nifty deposit into a different joint checking account. I'm still sick though. Back to bed. Too dizzy.
that sucks.... sry to hear that
