Ps2 is free i think, i have xbox live and i think it is great but thats my oppinion
theyr all free except for xbox live.
the stuff you need for them to work aint free tho, its just no monthly subscriptions apply for all of em except xbox live.
although if u get xbox live starter kit, u get the first 12 months free anyway.

You need a wireless router for the psp, but there is something you can plug into the USB port of your computer for the DS if you don't have a wireless router.

silver = free, but u cant game online.
gold = costs and u can game online aswell as some other stuff.

You can still play online with Xbox and 360 with "XLink." It's an app. you can get for your PC to tunnel though your PC and play online for free. It's legal too. I'm not sure how to set it up as my friends use this. I never baught the Xbox cuz I didn't like the games for it. But I've seen my friends play Halo 2 online with this app.
All other consoles it's free unless a specific game charges to play online (such as FF XI for PS2).

you can use a wireless access point for the handhelds which plugs into a standard non wireless router. PS3 online will be free too, gaming included.
