I'm just wondering if a tablet makes a difference in drawing and stuff
whats the best brand?, i probable think its waccom because i havnt heard of anything else
which model is the best
i dont have that much money so yeh
nothing more than 400 dollars Aus so around 250 US dollars
please HELP
if you have anything to add just post!

Somebody will give you an answer. All I can say is one of my mates had a shitty experience with a Toshiba Tablet Laptop/Powerbook thing. It has spent the last 2-3 months under repair (long story involving a tech dude getting sacked for stealing stuff out of it).

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

Wacom is the best. I've tried a few.
Is it useful?... depends on what you want to do. I'm a graphic deisgner and have two tablets, rarely use them. Once you get good with the tools and mouse/keyboard and know what to use and when to use it (pen tool, masks, channel selections by color et all) it really just becomes a luxury. If I am "drawing" I may use it. But I would rather draw/paint then just scan my art in and rip it up with Photoshop or Illustrator.
If you have the money it may be useful to you but don't expect the computer to ever be like pen and paper, drawing by hand is always better.
Wacom ( http://www.wacom.com/ ) had some good videos on thier web page, don't know if they are still there, but if you know photoshop you'll realize you can do them with or without a tablet. Just my opinion.
