XFire has to be the least accurate way of telling popular games

Take for example WoW, Now that game seems to beat all games by loads of time, or so it seems

The reason people have xfire on while playing Said world filled with warcraft, is that it is boring, and so, one must find something to do while grinding levels, one way to fill time is to talk to friends

Battlefield has less hours because people dont have as much time to talk to friends, and the only reason one would use Xfire is to let people know their server

Same goes for CS, when your dead, talk to friends, steam cheat, whatever

Server Monitor is close, but still off, as servers for BF2 require money, while a clan could just take shifts having mates run the server or whatever, or BF2 Servers cost more money, while CS Doesnt, OR!! [Oh noes!] It could be that BF2 servers hold more people, and thus you dont require that many servers, as opposed to CS, where 3/4+ Games are pretty good

Thats just inaccurate and stupid, Do you think the source engine could render outsides like the bf2 one could? The source engine is high detailed but in a small area, I've yet to see source render and considerable amount of outside'ness.

My old 128mb 9800 Pro could run source on full detail with no problems and a pretty high FPS, Whilst it could only just run Bf2 on low/mid settings, Even my new 256 6800 GS OC cant run it on high. The bf2 engine has a lot more to cope with and deal with that source. Source dosent have to deal with any vehicals or any other intense physics calcualtions.

And on a tangent, the best engine i've ever seen was the Crytek one for Farcry, Thats just simply amazing much better than anything ive seen before and still good now adays

that pretty much sums up most of the CS supporters in this thread. the rest, like cougar and that one guy who likes the surf maps, don't even play CS by a strict definition.

to the people who think CS has a more 'viceral, frenetic feel,' try some ut2k4 or quake4. CS was DESIGNED not to be viceral and frenetic, but slow and deliberate.

i suck at basketball, but i know it's a good game. how good i am at a game has nothing to do with my opinion of it.

the average gamer is an overstimulated, ADD-prone simpleton. so WoW and CS have lots of players. India has lots of people, does that make it the best country?

lastly, nowhere in this thread have i mentioned anything about BF2, or imply that it's better than CS. i have a long list of problems with BF2 which i've discussed before.

CS is like BF2 for beginners. You have your infantry, you have some maps with basic vehicles that have no weapons. It's all about small-scale teamwork that is really hard to find in BF2. It's like one squad against one squad, anything goes.

there are more hackers in that game. hackers are like ticks on dogs, you see one tick, 3 more ticks show up, then you have an infestation.

i seen just about every hack there is, even people buying it during the matches. and the sad part is, i owned several players real bad and they were even using wall haxs and speed hax..

the worst thing is to be a hacker and still get your butt hande to you.

the bf2 engine doesnt really make interactive maps, also the physics in bf2 : 0. i definately think Havok is the best physics engine right now. Cryengine is a pretty good engine, cant wait to see cryengine 2 in crysis

Cs is pretty fun on custom maps, on the original maps it can get boring. Just finished playing AS_oilrig VIP : )

but seriously. the game is just old now. I was really into it from the beta 2 release all the way up to 1.6 , then sorta of stopped playing alot.

i did try source. it was fun for 2 hours. but havent played it since it came out lol
