Would you honestly want that pathetic piece of shit to have the easy way out, and get the death sentence. Or would you want him to spend the next 60 years or so behind bars, without seeing a ray of sunshine.

I say life in prison, far worse than humane death
again, I think this is all focusing on something other than I really intended.
I believe that putting an individual in prison for life because it is cruel and makes them suffer more is far more immoral than humanely ending their life. I am not saying to end the life because they take a life, or as retribution. Simply as a purging of what has already been deemed refuse. What I say again and what I have not really heard a response to, is why put time, effort, money and resources into a life which has already been deemed unfit for society in even the most basic aspect? The only arguements I have really seen for life in prison over death are fiscal (which again, I'm arguing principle not present implementation) or because life in prison is worse for the criminal - which I maintain is more barbaric than killing them as a simple function of removing them from society.
Ultimately, the barbaric nature of life in prison or the death penalty doesn't particularly phase me in either instance as the only individuals relegated this possible conundrum aren't worth that aspect of concern anyway.

I say life in prison because at least there is a chance that the con can be rehabbed back into society after a good amount of time. Given the barbaric nature of a life sentenced crime I have to agree with that sentence. Unfortunately they are criminals (for the very most part) of heinous crimes that deserve life long sentences. They are a burden on society while in jail it's true, facilities are expensive but nobody can truly justify taking a life that has 'no potential' when there may be some later in life I suppose. To justify taking that life is almost as bad as justifying the crime
