according to these tests the world average is apparently 135
Your IQ score is 146!
Reality check dude: a real IQ of 124 puts you in the top 2% of people... you qualify for membership in MENSA at 120. Go read-up on Poisson or "Normal" distributions. 85-115 is considered "average" because that is where 90% of people lie.haffeysucks wrote:

this particular "IQ" test might, but what I'm saying is true none the less. Your IQ does not change from birth to death baring mental disease.coke wrote:

Exactly what I said a couple of posts before why do you think it asks for your age at the start.
and if THAT doesn't prove this test is just an internet ego circle jerk, I don't know what will. This is where idiots go to feel better about themselves.kr@cker wrote:

Really? Wow, I guess that's not bad for a 14-year old.Windrider_Melb wrote:

What the hell was that name, something like NAYMERG ??

Your IQ score is 122!
You have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information and this, combined with your logical mind, means you are a Visual Mathematician. You can manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution and can understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction.
Like Einstein, your ability to detect patterns and your skills in maths and logic, make it natural for you to come up with ideas and theories that simplify processes for everyone.
On a side note: This was not a real IQ test. I did an IQ test at the beginning of the year to qualify for a certain University course. My IQ on that test was 125. That was a 2 hour test, with 300 questions ranging from Mathematics to Geography. Do not take your score from this test (the internet one) seriously. This test was pathetic to what the Universitys make you sit through. Barely 50 questions, with no time limit. Pfft. And just so we can get things straight, I'm not a nerd. I flunked in high school because I wagged most of the lessons. I got a sporting scholarship to attend a very prestigous University in Australia, but they make all applicants sit and take an IQ test.
Oh, and I'm only 18.

Precision Processor
Precision Processor
YayYou've got a very experiential way of learning and a strong mathematical mind and you have mastered the art and science of precision. That's what makes you a Precision Processor. For you, life is a series of equations.
Your brain is naturally predisposed to intense mathematical acuity, so it's second nature for you to cut to the heart of an issue, to discover quick solutions while others get bogged down in unnecessary details. This allows you to communicate a variety of ideas to other people, so don't keep it to yourself.

Your IQ score is 142!
Your mind's strengths allow you to think ahead of the game -- to imagine or anticipate what should happen next in just about any situation. Because you're equally skilled in the numerical and verbal universes of the brain, you can draw from multiple sources of information to come up with new ideas and this makes you a Visionary Philosopher.
You also have a knack for matching and anticipating patterns in all sorts of situations, a talent that adds to your visionary philosopher mind.

Now, I consider these internet-IQ-tests utter bullshit. There are quite a few questions testing ... vocabulary? Yes it's true vocabulary. And general knowledge of course. The point is, this hasn't got anything to do with logical thinking, which the IQ-test is supposed to be based on.
And these number-sequences are quite predictable. Still, I'm astonished that the Fibonacci-sequence isn't included.
Argh, I nearly get a heart attack every time I see this completely pointless tests, designed to give a few geeks some self-confidence.

why dosnt anyone one admit to having a score of lower then 100. surley half of us should have but no, and as it claims i have an IQ of 143, i think this test is a bit off, anyone with an IQ of 120-150 should have realised it.
i mean come on the aveage is 119

Another question: IQ-tests should give the most results for 90-110. Statistically, IQ-scores are found in a bell-shaped curve. The range from 120-130 should have is small amount of people and the one from 130 to 140 an even smaller amount, much less than 5%.
But everybody seems to have an IQ of 120+...
Isn't there something wrong?

What's the theoretical mean and s.d. of the world population's IQ supposed to be? Any ideas?Fretzli wrote:

mean=100
s.d. = 10
s.d. = 10
people with lower then 110 might not want to post because they may think others will think they are stupid.Fretzli wrote:

I got 136! Yay! Down a notch from my teens, though...
And yes, i believe most people who scored e.g. 105 and less just won't bother posting with their results. I think the test, while not 100% accurate, surely points in the right direction. Of course I'll have to check on that and see my score by answering everything wrong.
Edit: Tried to answer everything as wrong as I could (not an easy task, really!) and got the result:"Your IQ score is 73!"

I need around tree fiddy.
No, I don't think so.
I'll do the test a few times pretty randomly.
S.d. = standard deviation? If yes, it should be 10.
IQ is a pretty relative thingy.
