A lot of innocent people and the infastructor of a country that is supposely not tied to the terrorist group is being destroyed. So why hasn't Bush called for a cease fire? Locigally if Lebanon wasn't being attacked right now maybe their government would like to work with Isreal to remove the "terrorist" organization. If they want to get ride of Hezbollah so badly this is not the way to do it.

So why hasn't Isreal ever used it's power to work with the other governments around it? They have the most powerfull army in the region and if the Lebanese government really wants Hezbollah gone I'm sure they would allow Isreal to police the area.

So why Hasn't the most powerful man if the most powerful nation tried to stop the lose of inocent lives, ecpessially concidering there are 25,000 american's in Lebanon?

An administration of inaction Bush has created, leaving a load of messes for the next U.S. President.

1) Bush has sent troops to evacuate the 25,000 living in Lebanon

2) By not calling a ceasefire, he is essentially letting Israel root up terrorists for him. Without ever getting his name involved. Smart isn't it.

Yeah how many troops has he sent? I really don't know. But by watching the news they are just sending in helo's for 25k that's going to take everyone.

And by not calling a ceasefire he's letting a country get distroyed and the terrorists build a bigger support base. You think destroying a country will actually weaking the terrorist base of support? There is a diplomatic way of working together with countries to get these problems taken care of.

Your point is ill-informed, sir. Hezbollah is sanctioned by the Lebanese government and has participated IN the government (currently has ~18% of the seats in Parliment).

Oh, and their abduction of Israeli soldiers is NOT a new tactic and has been attempted several times, without success. Now that they've had success, it's highly likely that they'll escalate.

Does any of this mean that Israel's response is appropriate? No. I'm refuting your thesis that Hezbollah is unsupported by the Lebanese government.

BOTH sides are wrong (go figure in a Middle East conflict) and BOTH sides have been sanctioned by the UN for their actions...

There are no heroes here, nor are there any martyrs...

I know that if the president asks for something it's not going to happen, but in the eyes of a people we are trying to get to welcome our way life it would be a very positive thing for the president to call for a cease fire. Not say well your civilians are getting killed "Isreal has a right to defend itself" sorry.

I know Hezbollah sits in the cabinant for the Lebanese government but Allegedly they are saying majority of the funding for the terrorist faction of it comes from "Iran and syria". And Allegedly Lebanon want's help removing Hezbollah from there borders.

It's not Ill-Informed it's what they're saying in the news(the Isreal american embassador and the such). I've heard said so many times "What we're doing here is going to make Lebanon stronger in the future and they will thank use for uprooting the Hezbollah terrorist". So naaa naa naaa

Why Bush likely hasn't called a Cease-fire:
A) Because it would likely not work
B) Because he has ties to high-level Arabs who hate Isreal
C) Isreal would whine and moan about the rockets breaking the cease fire (as you know H won't listen)

I don't belive Bush calling a Cease fire would be going into the country?? I'm confused by what your trying to get across luckeydogg.

Isreal is by far not a keeper of the peace. All they are doing right now is esculating a bad situation, under the giese of self defense. If it was done more diplomatic they might have been able to police lebanon without destroying it.

To update for a few other comments.

It has to do with Bush and the rest of the world because right now especially with us in Iraq it would show careing toward the Arab world. When we're trying to stabilize an area you actually have to have a stance on making the area stable.
