Y'know,  Ive heard about factories closing down and moving to other countries where the value of anything manufactured already by that country is below decent, so that workers work for like 2$ a day.

Well looks like my old man is losing his job because the Firestone factory he works for (btw, this factory had a  reputation for GOOD tires) is closing down at the end of this year and is moving to another country,  from what Ive heard, its China (Oh how about that, i couldn't have predicted them to take it!)

I've heard the new reporters on the TV say "There moving to another place in need of opportunity"
how much bullshit is that?  what about the people that have worked there for a good 20 + years??
Why dose China need opportunity?! They manufacture everything in the world!

So I've finally witnessed this ... what everyone talks about,  and I've come to the conclusion that we've sold the U.S.  to China  or other countries...What do we manufacture anymore?  is there anything?

People from other countries make shitty jokes about how lazy Americans are....we loose our working pride because some ass wipe in a big comfy seat  at the top floor of an exec building  wants to save an extra dollar out his probably multi billion dollar wallet.

Isn't this bullsh*t ?  what do you guys think?

I know how you feel.  My job was outsourced to India.  They had a rating to see how well the Indians were doing.  The CEO had the ratings changed so that the Indians did better in the statics then in real life.  Also, they cut most of the current employees wages, but the top brass got millions in a bonus.  They stated that the bonuses show that the company is doing a good job of rebuilding itself.  The funny thing is, it did not need to be rebuilt to start.  It was rated as one of the best customer support (#1 by PCWorld) for printer companies, and was within the top 3 for printer hardware.  BTW, the company was Lexmark.

When Washington started to sell out to companies, the middle and lower classes are the people who feel the pain, while the rich get richer.

Outsourcing is a short term way of increasing profit, in the long term it hurts a company more then it helps.  CEOs do not care as long as they are doing fine, and living comfortable it does not matter to them.
