Download lots of music at helluva cheap prices. Average $1 for a full album. $0.10 for an song. And you can choose your bit-rate too.

It's a russian site thats also in english, and at this time is legal in both the UK and the US. I've only just found out about it. I downloaded one song with the free $0.20 i got when i signed up.

Theres less hassle involved, and with limewire not only have you gotta make sure there's enough sources and hope it downloads quickly, but you've also gotta hope its the song you want.

$0.10 isn't exactly much.

I use Soulseek (www.slsknet.org). It's kind of old-fashioned in that you can only download files from one peer at a time so the speeds are slower than other networks, but it's the best place for finding high-quality, error-free rips of new albums, especially ones that aren't really mainstream.

And personally I wouldn't pay for downloaded songs - if I'm paying for a music, I want a physical copy of it.

Firstly, i can't believe i got negged for this. But who cares.

Secondly, i've known about torrents/edonkey/limewire etc for god knows how long. I've also had a fair share of bogus, incomplete and corrupt files that i've downloaded from the individual networks.

I'd rather spend a quid on downloading an album and have it finished in 5 minutes - rather than spending nothing and having to check numerous websites and networks for it, looking for 'what looks to be' the best file and then having to manually add ID3 tags to the songs because whoever ripped it was too lazy to do a 5 second cddb lookup on the CD.
