Do you think North Korea would have fired the test rockets if the U.S. was more of a threat?

My feelings on this are that since our troops have been in Iraq for a while now and not really battle ready(since they've been "policeing, occuping" for a while) that North Korea is trying to pull us into a conflict.

Why would N. Korea threaten us with Nuclear war? Seems to me we already have grounds to declare war based on the threats of Kim Jong Il. Open threats of nuclear war when we have taken no aggressive measures against them. If anything we have saved millions of them from starving to death, in addition to giving them the f)(^@# tech to build nukes.

Erkut. I dunno why they would, there are tons of thing out there that I don't know. The biggest reason that I have been against the Iraq War was that if a real threat arrives then we wouldn't have the means to defend ourselves. My feelings on this subject matter is that N. Korea is trying to pull us into a conflict by openly defying our wishes.

No it wouldn't be, because Iraq has neighbors and the world would not allow us to just flaten a country.

Also it's not only the troops but it's placement of equipment, amo expended, etc. etc. If we where to go to war with Korea who has been posing a real threat since the begining of the Iraq war.
