'Cos that'd be just great
Unless they're only sending their elite, I can't see how it can be a good thing. Last I heard Russian training is worse than American, and I'll bet that their ROE will be more lax as well.
I got negative karma for this because the US has the best military training in the world, apparently. WTF? By definition, that means Russians have worse training. Although, if it's going to come up, yes I believe that US has worse training than, say, Britain, which makes sense. Britain is a small nation and relies on a small, elite force, whereas the US is more concerned with numbers and technology. But sure, whatever........

china
Only, no. The Chinese and Russian Communists never got along very well, and after the death of Stalin this turned into a big divide between Russia and China. I think you'll find they aren't exactly best of buds now, either.

and iran
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Russia hasn't really associated with Iran since the collapse of the USSR has it? If so, this is akin to arguing that the US and Iraq are allies (that is, the US and
Saddam's Iraq
were allies up until Saddam's defeat).
If you do want to list current allies, you might find Vietnam and Cuba still like them, but I'm not sure.
