Isreal and the Palestinians
GOOD!!! We all know who will win that 1
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
Is there a point here?

This thread is pointless and should be closed.
I don't understand something. EVERYONE seems to be wanting to try and achieve peace in the middle east. Except those IN the middle east. You know something? There has NEVER been peace in the middle east. It has been the most tumultuous area on the planet since the beginning of recorded history. You want to know something else? I'm willing to bet the Earth will go out with that fact remaining the case. I think it's just a case of agreeing to disagree ... or suicide bomb ... you know, whichever.
it's because of those FUCKING towelheads.puckmercury wrote:

yay ww3. Just keep the f@ck away from me
Good point. The only way 'peace' could ever be achieved would to have an external force keep BOTH sides in check. Such as Britain tried to do before they pulled out. However, no nation is willing to actually go in there because it would solidify which 'side' they are on.puckmercury wrote:

The whole philosiphy of "peace in the middle east is a joke". There can be no peace when the children of those regional countries are taught to hate and dispise the other as soon as they are born. If you want true peace in the region, let them decide it for themselves and quit interfearing. We have enough friggin' problems in our own affairs. Just my .02.
Israel was formed in the late 40's after WWII when sentiments for the Jewish people were high after the mass genocide Hitler did. They returned to their homeland and created their own Jewish state.krazed wrote:

However, the middle east has been at war with itself for hundreds of years. It's not JUST Israel/Palestine - it's Pakistan/India, Iraq vs. itself, etc.
Actually, the Jewish state was most recently created due to legislation upon the exit of WWII. In retrospect, it may not have been the smartest move. From the best intents, yadda yadda. Not really from Israel's perspective. The last time they were involved in a war, they kicked ass all the way to Egypt and we had to go in and hold them back. However, it certainly seems to have added yet another unstable element to an already tumultuous situation.
And yes, from Israel to the Fertile Crescent and beyond, the entirety of the middle east has been a model for instability.

They bring a new meaning to "Leave no man behind."
From what I understand the Insurgents dug 1000 ft into Isreal territory and then popped up and killed a few and also lost a few and grabbed the poor kid. In this situation I understand and hopefully those sick people will release him. The only people they are going to hurt are tons of innocent people. If he dies shit is going to really hit the fan... I am sure Syria will be bombed next.

The only way this is gonna get worse is if Iran dose something, my only fear then is that North Korea might see this as a opening to attack but that is very far fetched and I highly doubt anything like that would happen.
I donno, the way this is shaping out kinda looks like the pearl harbor of WWII - Roosevelt kinda wanted it to happen so he would have a reason to go to war.
Am I too far fetched on this one?

i think maybe perhaps possibily people are/might be jumping the gun just a little too bit about this whole thing. Too many open possiblities for what might potentially happenTehSeraphim wrote:

Now someone gotta set the foot down and stop this hypocracy thread.
I agree that there is a "big" problem concerning the matter of "Israel and the Palestinians
", but on the other hand there are 80 other WARS in this world continiously ongoing.
And spitting somebody in the face for having an argument is perhaps not helping out, does it?
Please read this thread first, then come back and discuss the matters of the World.

Does it sound like a nice idea?
