Help me find some more dirt fellas.

Ok I cant seem to find many people who know anything about this game.
Frontlines :Fuel of war

What I know is this is a game that is being produced by Kaos studios. The developers of the DC mod for BF1942 where approached by EA and asked to keep the maps comming etc.. They then formed Trauma studios. DICE were so impressed with Trauma studios they offered them a job to do Research and development work for Battlefield 2. DICE decided to buy trauma studios in 2004. These guys were given the opportunity to do what they love. That is, until EA moved to purchase DICE. Faced with being shipped off to Sweden Trauma studios chose to stay . THQ offered them a deal for a new studio and voila Kaos studios. A new game is born Frontlines:Fuel of war.

I apologize if my history is a little inaccurate I did the best I could .

The May issue of Game Informer has a lot more info on the game and some good screen shots. If you can, pick it up. It looks very cool so far but the release date is still about a year away.The images in the magazine look way better than any screenshot I have found on the web.

Its nowhere near BF2142, thats like a BF2020, I am going to buy that game and I hope it dosent require me to upgrade my computer to take DX10.

You can count on better coustomer support, more everything, larger maps , probably more people per game. Looks very good and I realy trust the DC team. Look at what they did with BF1942, they did more modding to that game then EA and DICE probably thought was even possible. Cant wait for it.

It has a game mode where u capture flags.. but you have to capture them in order.. i like that idea.. as far as the cheap 2142 version..

Kaos studio's is mostly ex-DICE employees so I seriously doubt you will get a lesser product. (Research the company).

I read up on this game in the May edition of PC gamer.. It's sounds very cool. I need to see if I can find a better article to help explain all the features.

Because Frontlines is being developed by Kaos Studios, the game plays like Battlefield and uses the Unreal 3 engine. This is in part because the team is made up of several ex-members of Trauma Studious, which is responsible for Battlefield 1942's Desert Combat mod. From the moment we touched down onto the ground, the gameplay was chaotic due to the fact that we were on the war's frontlines, hence the name.

Looks like very Similar to the Battlefield Series.. In-between BF2 and BF2142, I'd Play it.. Cause I'm not really down for WWII or Far Future warfare..

Comparing the Unreal 3 engine with the actual BF2/2142 engine is like comparing a Porsche with a Fiat.

If it wouldn't be released in autumn 2007 then it would be definately a BF2142 killer.

I'm very much tempted. Unreal 3 engine. Thank goodness it's a stable engine. I think right off the bat it will be less buggy than BF2 was. I like the way this game looks and I like the team. DICE R&D is pretty good, it's their game programers that aren't so good. The rest of the team looks damn good.

Looking forward to seeing this as it gets closer to release.

In my own opinion Frontlines will be what 2142 hopes for but wont quite attain.
