I have noticed there most be someone from almost every country here at Bf2s

So my question is Which country has the harshest gun laws ?

Meaning what req. are there for you to own a gun and if you're country has outlawed them, then what are your punishments to those who get caught?

Here in the states everyone has somewhat of any idea of what req. we have but it varies from state

Here in NC you have to either go to the sheirffs dept. and fill out for a gun permit ( takes 1 week ) they do a background check in that week, after you pick up that permit ( u can get 5 permits at 1 time ) then you can get a weapon but only to keep it your house and if you transport it must stay locked and away from you ( trunk if possible) or you can apply for the concealed carry permit ( got 1 ) meaning you go through a 1 day course of proper shooting, class on the where and when you can carry, all the legal stuff meaning when you can shoot, it takes about 45 - 60 days to get this permit bc of the huge background check they do but with this permit I can get anything at any time and keep it on me at all times

All firearms require a government issued license to be bought. Until very recently certain weapons, such as hunting rifles, could be acquired without such a license. A couple of weeks ago, however, a racist and somewhat insane young man went ahead and bought himself such a rifle, went into downtown Antwerp and shot a Turkish woman (injured) and African woman + the white little girl she was babysitting (both dead).
So all of a sudden the politicians were pretty quick to place those rifles under the same license arrangement.

I can't tell you more than that. I don't know what the requirements for a license are. Also, I hear the current law dates back to 1933, with numerous modifications made on it over the years and has thus become a little complex.

Fiji it is illegal to even own ammo for a firearm. Not sure what the punishment is.

Jamaica is the same way with really stiff penalties for breaking the law. If you live that long. Gangs will kill you for even a single bullet.

In the UK, no one is allowed to own a gun. Unless you're a farmer or professional shooter but even then there must be shit loads of checks and stuff, even air rifles have tight restrictions.

I must say though I don't understand the whole fuss about owning a gun. I get the impression that if you don't own a firearm in the US, then you aren't a real man or something. Strange to me but horses for courses I guess....

...besides, I'd rather have the right to own and bear marijuana than a gun and compared to the US we have a really liberal drugs policy (anything less than or equal to 3.5 grammes is acceptable, sort of).

Well the law says you can't have that much, but as long as you're not supplying you're very unlikely to be prosecuted. Unless you're doing something stupid or the police just don't like you.

Victoria considered paint-ball guns to be weapons until very recently, so all the paint ball clubs moved just north of the border. It was funny.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there are gun clubs and whatnot over here, and plenty of farmers have guns. I'm also pretty sure that air rifles can be gotten.

I love that saying " thats like bringing a gun to a knife fight " what an idiot to call and tell you what he is going to do but then again it was a good thing to call so you can prepare yourself - should have topped it off by cutting his thumbs off so he can't hold a knife again
