OK me and my mates argue this quite often when we're pissed.
I am not racist or against imigrants
Anyway it really bugs me that when England play a sport mainly cricket against India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, in the UK, that half the crowd is cheering for the opposition, lots of kids in the opposition countries cricket top dancing and cheering for them.
What is wrong with that I here you say.
Most of these kids are British Citizens who were born in this country, live in this country and have a british passport, so why are you cheering for the opposition. I know that the country they are cheering for, is part of their heritage and that their parents will stick to their old countries traditions and roots. I have no problem with someone moving to the uk and continuing to support their country of origin, but if they have children born in the uk then surley the children should support England.
If I moved to New Zealand For example I would still support England with NZ as my 2nd team but I would expect my Kids (if born there) to cheer for NZ 1st then England 2nd.
I fully understand that we live in a democracy and everyone has the right to cheer for, support who they like.
But this really grinds my gears, I am very patriotic when it comes to sport.
Do you think I am over reacting any comments anyone
