Well I just got back from seeing the movie, and overall I really enjoyed it.

At first when I was originally about to post this thread, I had almost created an entire review of the story, but I figured eh..'nah'.  Too much to read and was probably too boring.

Anyways if you're a fan of the previous 'Fast and the Furious' movies, then you'll most likely enjoy this one.  My first impressions of the movie when I heard about it were kind of short, since they had a whole new cast, including 'Bow Wow' wtf? and Hollywood's take on the underground aspect of drifting in Japan.

Although there isn't too much depth in the characters, the acting, or the story, you'll still be sucked into the sweet racing scenes, the cars, girls, etc.

Some cool parts I liked that they put in was the cameo of Vin Diesel towards the very end.  Also if you payed attention there was a cameo of Keiichi Tsuchiya, the famous Drift King in Japan, known for drifting an AE86 Trueno- where as the Initial D anime series is based off of.

A new twist they introduced into the movie was the hybrid '67 Mustang-Skyline.  What??
A 2001 Nissan Skyline GT-R RB26 custom engine implant with a 1998 Nissan Skyline GT-S 5spd manual transmission.

Not to mention some of the main cars featured include: the RX-7, RX-8, 350z, Evo7, Silva S15, Monte Carlo, Dodge ViperSRT10, and the Dodge Coronet.

So if you like the import-tuner scene, and the ambition to see a cool movie with plenty of action-hold the need for a well set story-line, then I'd definitely recommend it.

PS- To me it seemed funny how I recognized some of the Japanese spoken simply by watching too much anime- Sigh..*Goes to wash car and do some drifting.  Later

Sounds good... here's my question:

Is it worth going to the cinema to see, or is it more of a testosterone home movie?
