QED.

In a rare move I'm gonna +1 you for this one, Horseman. Judaism is a religion, not a race. Jews are just arabs who practice a particular faith. They look ever so slightly different now since they interbred with all and sundry in the last 2000 years, that's all.Horseman 77 wrote:
Pardon my clumsiness with theological terms, isn't being Jewish is a religion? When you practice the Jewish Faith you are a Jew. Sammy Davis Jr. was a Jew.
Jesus lived in an Arabic area. I Assumed he would look Arabic. He does in most of the picture I see created of his likeness.
On the other hand most pictures Created of Arabs ( in Hollywood films for instance ) depict them as dirty and unkempt. The USA media seems to promote this as well. From my observations anyway.
Jesus was real. There's proof he was REAL. But was he the son of God? I don't think so.
Do you think Jesus, as he is perceived to have existed, would give a shit about this particular topic? A proper Christian wouldn't care if Jesus was blue, green, plaid or purple.

There's no proof he was real but there is an extremely high likelihood that he did exist, or a character fitting his description at least. Son of God? Bollocks. Fanciful nonsense. Anyone with a basic grounding in logic, reason, common sense and reality knows God is just a creation of the mind. As Frued put it - religion is the the most socially acceptable form of neurotic behaviour in society today. Not to detract from the usefulness of such a belief system, if believing helps you then go for it.Fuzzball_the_Shooter wrote:

Incidentally I saw a good T-shirt the other day - it had a picture of the Virgin Mary on the front and the slogan read 'Mary was a virgin .... if you don't count anal!'
Freud? He wasn't always right, was he? One example statement, "old people are no longer educable..." violently contrasts with the fact that he put out some of his best stuff after age 65.CameronPoe wrote:

You mean Jesus is real?!?!
You mean I'm actually supposed to read the Bible?!?!?
You people are crazy....
I don't go to church...I don't believe in God. On the contrary I still don't bash peoples religion because if I ever found anything interesting and followed by it I would want people to respect it and me as well. I let other people live their lives the way they want, and if they want a good debate I'll give them one. Who's to say the Bible wasn't just written to be a historical fiction type of novel? Truth intertwined with a clever plot. Why should I live my life by a book written oh so long ago that MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE. I'm a very analytical and openminded person when it comes to most things...but religion...obviously created by man himself, and not some unhuman or godlike figure.
On a side note, I hate it how Christians are trying to take over the world! Always trying to force their religion on other people...makes me want to hit a baby!

A white christian artist? Did he live 2000 years ago to see Jesus? You are delirious. Why would Jesus look totally different from all the other people who lived in that region at the time? What the hell is sciencism? Use some common sense before you tell me I am wrong. Jesus was not a pale skinned, blue-eyed, blonde haired guy in a region where everyone had dark skin and dark features. Don't be ignorant my friend.spastic bullet wrote:

If anything the ability to travel and take mates past a distance of a mile or so " as it most likely was in Jesus's time " has probebly even softened some features of the region. was that was your meaning. The domestecation of the horse helped a lot with the gene pool of mankind. Must have been pretty scary before that. Go to Canistio NY and you will see what I mean. All the girls had Marine Corp. Issue glasses. Fukin wierd man.CameronPoe wrote:

Give what a rest? What are you saying? Read my post, nowhere did I say Jesus did not live. Please read and use critical thinking before you accuse me of something I did not say or do. Thanks!
I agree with him, it doesn't matter. This is just like debating if Jesus was a man or a woman.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Some might believe he was Mexican (Jesus/Hayzeus). Kidding, but you never know.

Yeah, I guess I might as well come right out and say it... I was being sarcastic. I hoped my argument would be so transparently retarded ("sciencism"?) that nobody could possibly take it seriously. But in hindsight, I have seen some views on this board at least as preposterous, that were apparently genuine, so I should have known better. My apologies.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

As the creator of this topic, I am not a proper Christian, in fact I am not a Christian at all. I am an evil atheist who is going to hell no matter what I do.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

The proof of Jesus existing is as "real" as the roman Emperor Tiberius existing. There are accounts of Jesus by ROMAN historians (Josephus, for example) AND Hebrew. The reports aren't all coming from one corner.CameronPoe wrote:

Precisely. There is culpable evidence supporting his existence. Whether or not he was the son of God is really all that's debatable. If you believe he is anything approaching who he is purported to be and where he was said to exist, there is no way he was white. But as was said, the messages attributed to him really shouldn't be influenced by his race.Fuzzball_the_Shooter wrote:

If you're an athiest, why do you think you're going to hell? Or was it really dry sarcasm ...Ikarti wrote:
