I just found this....Dont know if you know who Joseph Kittinger but this is pretty wild, he is the first human to break the sound barrier by sky diving...he jumped from a helium balloon at 102 thousand feet on August 16th, 1960 and was in a free fall for 4 1/2 minutes. He reached a speed of 714 mph before opening his parachute. He set records for highest balloon ascent, highest parachute jump, longest droguefall and fastest speed by a man through the atmosphere. Wouldnt that be insane, breakin the sound barrier by just free falling?
