I'm interested in making movies, but does it seem too geeky to be paying about $37 USD for a game recorder? I mean you're not even buying a game, just a program that lets people watch your gaming. WTF?!
On the one hand, I would like to make a movie, on the other hand, I think I'd feel dirty about wasting time making a movie of a game.
Any thoughts?

I would download the free version to see how choppy it is on your system. People have complained here that they cant even run it because its so choppy. If it runs smooth, then I would sya get it and start making some cool movies....

So, I downloaded the fraps demo version and my comp handled it nicely. The most annoying thing was it would only record for 30 seconds at a time, so I kept having to mash the F9 key to start it up again. I used 'half-size' and 50 fps. Smooth sailing.

UseNext.com, download it, search fraps, im a programmer of eight years and progs like that shouldnt be pay per use period.

And yeah umm, the only people who pay for software are people who need to make money off usin them, thats when the feds come knockin

France passed some rule lately, makes file sharing legal as long as no money is made in the process, Vive le France is what i say

50 fps nice...i wish mine ran that fast when running fraps. I guess it doesnt help that i have a 1.4 procs with a 128 mb ati radeon card :-/
