I'm not sure if it was the install of AF but ever since I installed it, sometimes I start seeing friendly names as red names. Needless to say, I have been getting some team kills and some punshments for it. Has anyone else noticed this?

The last squad members sometimes appear red I have killed allot of them before but buy accident though oops!!!
This is a very old bug that has been in the game since the start a year ago. But I havent actually seen it at all for a long time now, not even in 1.3. Its called something like "Red tag-bug".
blue tag bug is deadiler IMO
ive seen an enemy with a blue name. i know because they were constantly shooting at me

I haven't had the bug prior to the installation of AF. I wasn't sure if it was related to that installation or not. Another friend of mine had also just installed AF and he also experienced the same bug.DonFck wrote:

Seems to happen more in Dragon valley. Don't remember seeing the bug for a while though. It would have to sneak in between the constant crashes since 1.3.
haven't you guys heard? since they have completely failed to get rid of it since the game's initial release, it is now no longer classed as a bug, but rather an "exciting new gameplay mode!"

It's odd, because for about a month and a half it seemed to disappear for me, but just in the last 24 hours I must've seen it 7 or 8 times. Very annoying, I thought it was gone for good, but nope.

So I am guessing that there isn't a fix I can do for it on my end? (I tried the search function and came up with squat for that question... ) I'm sure it is server side or software related, but I figured I'd ask anyway.
No, no fix. It's a bug that's been around since the start, and it's in the code. Dice/EA said they had "addressed it" two patches ago, and I personally had the amusing experience of installing the patch in question and getting it straight away, first thing.
I seriously doubt it will ever go away. sorry
edit: although, the way to get rid it if you have it is to disconnect from the server and then reconnect. but this is a temporary solution, and if you get it, you will get it again in the future.
