I don’t really think it’s a win or loose issue, but rather knowing that they did some good in the country. And that not all the soldiers that died, died for nothing. I just hope that the American people will learn from our mistakes and improve and now that Bush is just an Idiot with War on the Brain and now real sense of leadership!!!!

Some people seem to have a very limited grasp of "victory", you can't just cap the baghdad flag and and hit disconnect after you get your points, you have to rebuild a stable infrastructure and security force or else a few years after you leave it's worse than it was to begin with, there was limited guerilla resistance in Germany up through the 50's and the last Japanese soldier didn't surrender until 1974

The war is over, it was won, stabilization must take place before withdrawal, and yes, when you win a war you get to do things like set up a base in the defeated country, but it's not the same as occupying or colonizing it as some people would have you think
