Hi my name is Sam and my gaming name is OZCleaner and i am from Australia, so just a short introduction to the BF2 world. Sometimes i go to play on Aussie servers and after playing the same map just a day ago the next time i join i get this message:
This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of BF2 to current official version to join.
Yet i havnt done anything to my maps and am getting annoyed as sometimes i cant play for hours at a time. If anybody has any information to help me out with this problem much appreciated.

Well, since I have been playing around with replacing sounds and videos in the game with some that are a bit more fun I have grown familiar with this message.

If you have not modified ANYTHING in the bf2 folder then I do not know why it would be popping up, but if you have been changing things then simply revert back to the original content. Short of that a quick reinstall would do the trick, or if you have roommates or friends who have installed the game and can get you a copy of their unmodified bf2 folder and replace yours with that.

I had this same issue, What I ended up doing is COMPLETELY uninstalling BF2 and then I defraged. Reinstall and your set, Everything works fine. It's weird. Good-luck!

Yes thanks guys, i just reinstalled the mod folder and everything is running sweet. So again thanks for the help and great site you have here.

Make a backup of your gamefiles. This way you can overwrite with noncorrupt data, in the event it happens again.

Sorry for late reply there nemesis but i aint never played many online games other than CoD or origanal Battlefield and all the mods so i would say that its not the cleaner you are thinking of.

I am also having this prblem. It's only happened to me since the 1.03 patch. I could be playing on a server, and after 1 or 2 matches I get this stupid unmodified content message. I've reloaded the game and patch several times. Nothing seems to be fixing the problem. I've lost awards, points and stats due to this. Does anyone have a good fix for this issue?? It's driving me nucking futz!!!

I have the same problem. No I have not modified anything. I do play in wide screen, so maybe it doesn't like that.

It really makes no sense. If the server lets me play 2 or 3 games, chaning maps once in between, then decides I'm a hacker, it fubar. It should have never let me join the server. I have done the uninstall/reinstall game, and it still happens.

The fix for this is to no longer play. Bummer.

Not sure if this has been covered yet, but try uninstalling and reinstalling.
