a lot of rap bashing I see. One must realize (much like the O.P. did) that rap and hip-hop are two distinct genres. Rap is what you hear on mainstream radio, stuff like 50 cent, Eminem, Mike Jones. Hip-Hop is stuff like Heiroglyphics, Visionaries, Wu-Tang Clan (again and again), Sage Francis, Mr. Lif. You may not like rap, but I am sure if you listen to some not so mainstream hip-hop you would find that you enjoy the beats and the poetic social commentary.
