No complaints ... it's fast and furious. Interesting maps ... worth 10 bucks, but that's my opinion.
The A-10's cannon is NOT a tank killer, despite what the forum description says. However, the 4 bombs (ala J10/F35) definitely are. No AA missiles ... Air-to-Air is guns only! And they're slower than molasses ... like a shooting gallery for AA tanks.
Scout helos are sweet ... they're fast, and with competent teammates, flag-capping machines. Gotta get in and out though ... the tanks tend to swarm. The guns are good for infantry and jeeps, but I saw a lot of pilots flying into the ground?! I didn't have problems ...

Very fast, Operation Road Rage is the best map by far, always wanted to have a battlefield on a highway!

I don't think it's been out long enough (for those of us who just downloaded it today) to make a fair judgment on it. From what I've seen the maps look awesome, but they're new. It's a strive away from Karkand/Wake. And I agree, the Little Bird is just bad ass to fly around. It's something new to do for a while, so it's definitely worth $10.

Scout choppers are screwed if no one is taking out tanks, other than that, it's pretty fun. Back to pubbing...
i like the tank battles. on operation harvest it's interesting trying to take out two tanks at once while it's just you alone in a tank. i like the infantry battles and i'm a tank whore so i like these maps but road rage and midnight oil are my favorites so far. it was funny seeing the helos on road rage clipping the light poles. i'm still pissed that tanks can't run over those stupid white fences.
i can only imagine what the little bird would have been like if it had the blackhawk minigun before it was nerfed. i like flying on top of the water tower and sniping the gas station if it's in enemy's hands.

Love it. Road Rage is great for Armor and ground pounding. As is Harvest (not so much a ground map though). Don't know about Alaska only saw a few minutes.
Ok wow… I am going to type a response with a six-pack in me… In Game, the A10 is the most accurate and smoothest bomber I have ever flown; I simply love it. It is slow though, and would never outrun a fighter. EA was thinking and never put a bomber v. a fighter map. If you do not live in the states, but you are an American, the AF maps will make you homesick guaranteed. I live in NC and the maps in Alaska made me want to make a home trip to the mountains in North Carolina. The road rage maps needed a little more reality with the concrete ramps though. The concrete medians look too digital and manmade. Work on that and they have a perfect map in my drunken opinion. This booster is a lot better that the Euro Force Booster trust me… spend 10 bucks and own the accurate A-10 Bomber; besides you can drive Semi’s and Muscle cars on these maps!!!!! GET SOME!!!!

Look, I think the game is great, but I have yet to find a server with cool people like the ones here at bf2s and actually like to play as a team.
I just got done playing against a team that was half filled with A-hole clan teamstackers... they were all above the rank of Lieutenant. It made me hate AF.
So I'm still looking for good servers......

I started this so perhaps I should post something up ... I like the two MEC maps ... ROAD RAGE is probably my favourite. I'm in love with the SU-39 and to counter points regarding the dexterity of the attack aircraft, yes they don't handle as well as the fighters and perhaps they do drift slighty but with practice you can become invincible

Just finished a few rounds on an OE (Order Elite) server. Not too bad. I like Road Rage and Midnight Sun the best so far. But I haven't played that much. Too tired lol. All in all not bad. Saw a few tank wars going on and it looked pretty cool. So far worth my bucks.

Yeah well I've got a stick, and when I first flew the planes in AF I thought it was broken. They seem to have programmed a random slow wobble into the handling of the planes. Or maybe my joystick actually is broken... what do yous reckon?DirectFire wrote:

after the shellshock of an A10 came past me, i realized that the bomb spread is retarded, and you hit more poles and shit trying to use the piddleshit AT cannon. good for AT and mines tho
I think the little birds are way more sluggish then they need to be.
The Little birds are awesome, and the A-10 Thunderbolt should reek more destruction on tanks. I don't know if anyone has seen the videos of them shooting tanks but it is pretty devastating.
